Hearts Alive was formed in the summer of -05 after Miss Mofet and Burning Phoenix came to an end. Our main goal was to do something different from our prevoius bands, so we started to rehearse, and the result became a mix of, hardcore, punk and metal. Something we had been wanting to play for some time. We rehearsed all summer and played our first show in September! The month of October we had some time off, due to vacation, tour (markus worked with soilwork) etc, and we picked up the pieces again in Nov! We played our hometown in december and the turnout was pretty good! And people really seemed to like it. In the beginning of -06 we wrote the last song before we started to record our s/t demo. We sat up a studio in our rehearsal space, and decided to record 5 songs! But in the end we just went with 3! Shortly after the recording we decided to find a singer, since the new songs got more technical and so that our live performance wouldn't be hurting! So we recruited Jonas P who some of us have know since he sang for an hardcore band by the name of Trickshot! So we entered the studio again and re-recorded the vocals! We played some shows here and there during the summer and just after PunchFest, we decide to continue without Marcus W. Since he was away all the time, and it would be difficult to play shows and whatnot! So we recruited Dan Svensson, (Hatelight, Terror 2000) on guitar, Me and Jonas S had been in bands with Dan in the mid 90's, so we knew he was a very talented guitar player, and he had already shared the stage with us, at Punchfest, so the chemistry was there.. And that is the story so far...
